Carolina Girl Cooks – {Greenville, South Carolina Photographer}

I love to find new blogs on all kinds of subjects…fashion, motherhood, you name it!  But I especially love blogs that are all about FOOD!  :)  I am a foodie myself and I love to try new recipes.  So when I was contacted by Jennifer, who is the blogger behind Carolina Girl Cooks, I was ecstatic!!  I just knew our photo session would be tons of fun!

When she called, she mentioned she was on a quick timeframe as she needed photos for a special project and the company she was working with needed them on Monday.  She called on Saturday!  But I am never one to shy away from a challenge!  So even though I was in Charleston at the time and not due back home until Monday, I emailed her and asked if there was any way we could hold off one more day so I could get home from Charleston.  I was so happy she said yes, so we set it up for Tuesday!

Finding the perfect location for the shoot was the next step.  We both agreed a cute garden would be a perfect place to show off her love of fresh ingredients and would give a beautiful backdrop to the shoot.  So we both started researching possible locations.  Jennifer went antiquing with her mom and while driving around the small town of Landrum, she stubbled upon an Inn that was perfect!!  The yellow home with beautiful front porch, rocking chairs and a garden out back proved to be just the spot we were looking for!  And the owners of the Inn couldn’t have been nicer!

The day of the shoot I was so excited to meet Jennifer and knew she would be a blast to hang out with from our phone calls.  Then she made everything perfect and showed up with a gift!  She brought me her famous homemade Lavendar Shortbread Cookies!  You know they say food is the best way to a man’s heart, but it doesn’t hurt to try that trick on your photographer!  Ha!

Jennifer and I did have a blast setting up the shots in the garden, with cookbooks gallor and even a trip to her favorite antique store!  I love how these photos turned out and I am so glad I was able to work with Jennifer on this shoot!
